If it is entertainment you want, then a Majorca holiday is always a front runner in the battle of the holiday destinations. Its beaches are world renowned, its family friendly attractions are served by reliable transport links and it has natural attractions which will delight nature lovers. It is simply a case of taking your pick from the dozens of possibilities which are right on your doorstep.

Beaches Galore

  • There are so many beaches here that it is best to find one which has the facilities to match you exact needs

  • Want to relax? S’illot beach has a laid back vibe and sits close to the resort of Pollensa. If you have kids in tow, then your best bet is to head to Playa de Muro Beach in Alcudia

  • For adventure lovers, Magaluf beach has water sports and attracts a young crowd intent on having a good time

After Hours Fun

  • Majorca comes alive once the sun goes down. Magaluf is the undisputed king of the late night resorts, where all kinds of shenanigans can and does happen. The worlds best DJ’s converge in the high season, so this is paradise for those young and hip enough to be able to recognise them!

  • If you are not too fused about clubbing, then Palma is a great alternative for food lovers. There are some of the best eateries in the whole of the Med here and you can spend your evenings sampling local dishes including wonderfully fresh seafood

  • For a bit of a mixture, Alcudia is always a good bet. Family friendly restaurants rub shoulders with Spanish tapas bars and traditional pubs

Kids Fun

  • Majorca is home to not one, not two, but three water parks, all of which can provide kids as well as adults with hours of fun. The Western Water Park is one of the busiest and can be found close to  Magaluf

  • If your kids love animals, then a trip to Palma Aquarium should be on the agenda. Expect to see a range of wildlife which can be found in the waters surrounding the island as well as from further afield

  • Cuevas del Drach is a collection of underground caves which are perhaps the island’s biggest draw. Exploring them can be a fun day out but make sure you arrive early in the high season as this attraction can get a little busy at times

Hints & Tips

  • Whilst temperatures can reach 30 degrees in the height of summer, visiting in May or September time is a good bet if you have children as it can be slightly cooler and less busy in the popular resorts

  • The beaches are clean and safe for children to explore.  Whilst some can get busy, with a bit of exploration there are plenty of secluded coves to discover close to the major resorts

  • With a flight time of just over two hours from the UK, this is an easy holiday destination to reach – music to the ears of those of you who do not like flying
