There is nothing more important than knowing your money and holiday is protected
against any eventuality. Although the vast majority of holidays pass without incident,
there are several steps you can take to ensure that if something did go wrong, such
as the collapse of an airline, you would be protected from losing money or being
stranded abroad:
- Only ever book
through a travel company which holds an ATOL certificate granted by the Civil Aviation
Authority (CAA)
- Ensure the company
is a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA)
At Beat the Brochure we are both ATOL protected (ATOL number T7300) and members
of the TTA (TTA U6466), which means you can book with total confidence knowing that
your hard-earned holiday and money is fully protected against a number of possibilities
which could negatively affect your holiday.
ATOL Protected
ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licensing) is scheme operated by the CAA which will
protect you in the unlikely event that an ATOL protected charter airline goes out
of business.
If this does happen, our ATOL certificate obliges us to:
- Ensure you are
brought home for free. If you haven't started your holiday, we'll help you get your
money back as quickly as possible, by dealing directly with the CAA and if you choose
to book another flight through Beat the Brochure, we'll waive our usual booking
charge too.
- If a low-cost
airline were to go out of business, we'll help you find new flights in line with
your original dates with absolutely no booking charges.
In essence, if anything was to go wrong before or during your holiday, we are obliged
to sort it out for you on your behalf and make sure your holiday goes as smoothly
as possible.
TTA Covered
The TTA exists to protect you and your money and is one of the strongest forms of
protection for holidaymakers. Any money you pay to us directly will be held in an
independent trustee account until you’re back home, after which the money is released
to us.
This means every penny of your money is protected against the unlikely event of:
- A company or principal
of your holiday ceasing to trade after you have already booked.
- What’s more, all
members of the TTA have to abide by the member Code of Conduct so you will receive
the best possible service from us at all stages of the booking process.
